Soooo, who is Hatsune Miku?

Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) is a voicebank made by Crypton Future Media. Her voice is modeled from Japanese voice actress Fujita Saki (she voiced Torako Koshi in Nokotan and Ymir in Attack on Titan !!)

Her name comes from "Hatsune" (初) that means "first", "Ne" (音) that means "sound", and "miku" (ミク), that's derived from 未来, means "future". So, if we had to roughly translate "Hatsune Miku", we would have "the first sound of the future".

Her code name is CVO1, this due the fact she was the first Vocaloid developed by Crypton Future Media (CV stands for "Character Vocal").

Note !! While Miku was the first Vocaloid developed, Leon, Lola, Miriam, Meiko and Kaito were the first released.

For me, Hatsune Miku is a beautiful project, everyone (or at least, everyone who can buy it, or pirate it) can use her and express themselves using her voice. Miku can be anything!! From a 16 yo girl who loves spring onions, to a lovecraftian monster or a head with blue legs. The only limitation being your own creativity!
